Brighton Pier, in the UK, will be the first location in the country to showcase the arcade version of Guitar Hero.
Konami has brought the worldwide phenomenon to European arcades in conjunction with distributor Electrocoin.
The machines will be played in a competition by the public for the first time tomorrow during a one-day contest at the Palace of Fun.
The game, which has become a video game craze all over the world, offers music fans a unique opportunity to live out their dreams of playing in a rock band by simulating the playing of lead and bass guitar across numerous well-known rock anthems.
The arcade version comprises a large selection of well-known licensed tracks and has been designed to facilitate two-player action. It features 11 different characters with seven different venues to work through.
Anne Martin, general manager, Brighton Pier, said: "We are delighted to be selected by Konami to be the first family entertainment centre in the UK to showcase Guitar Hero Arcade. As such a popular, global game, we feel this is a worthy investment in order to enhance our offerings to national and international tourists and ensure the pier, and Brighton, remains a key UK destination in 2009."
