Veteran FEC operator John Bollom has been appointed as vice president of UK trade association BACTA.

John Bollom has been appointed Vice President of BACTA

He will hold the position until March of next year, succeeding Trevor Sutton, who stepped down at the latest meeting of the National Council to concentrate on work commitments.

Bollom is managing director of the Swansea, Wales, based Mumbles Pier. He recently headed a review into BACTA’s governance structure and will serve out the remainder of Trevor’s term, after which the body will elect a president and vice-president.

Bollom said: “I am honoured to be appointed as vice-president at BACTA at this critical time for the industry. We are still yet to see the government’s Gambling Review whitepaper and many of our members are dealing with a cost-of-living crisis. I will continue to head the review into BACTA’s governance structure and work closely with John White as CEO and Greg Wood as president of BACTA.”
