Current and one-time smokers have been invited to take part in lung cancer checks at centres across the UK that include bingo clubs.

A million smokers between the ages of 55 and 74 will receive the invitation from the NHS if they live in areas where the death rates from lung cancer is highest. Supermarkets and football stadia will join with bingo halls in acting as venues for the checks.
It is thought that nearly 2,500 people have had lung cancer caught early by completing one of the 10-minute checks.
