Two of the front-runners in the chase to acquire the six Center Parcs holiday resorts in the UK, have dropped out.

Private investment companies CVC and Blackstone are reported to have ceased to pursue the prospect. Both have withdrawn offers to Center Parcs' owners, Canada’s Brookfield Property Partners, who bought the business for £2.5bn in 2015.
With another potential bidder, Aermont, understood to be already out of the race, the media is backing one of several other organisations to step in, including KSL Capital Partners and Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC.
