Neveplast, creator of products for dry ski slopes, saw a marked improvement at this year’s Barcelona event compared to last year’s Gothenburg show.
“There are more people this year,” said the company’s Olmo Belini. “We noticed this from the first day; we were very surprised and excited.” Neveplast was exhibiting its newest innovation, the S-Kid mini-kart, on its stand. The kart, designed for seven to 15-year-olds, is designed not for karting in the traditional sense but for drifting or skidding sideways.
“This is more fun, we find,” said Belini. “There are so many karts out there that are built the traditional way that we decided to do something different. The S-Kid has two engines, which encourages the drifting. In addition, we have developed a special drifting surface that comes with the mini-karts.”
Available in several sizes, the Track 300, 400 and 500, the products are suitable for both indoor and outdoor locations. “We have most recently installed a track at the Ocean Boulevard location in Felixstowe, UK, and three more in Italy.”
