US distributor Betson Enterprises is the latest company to be issued with an Illinois video gaming distributor licence, meaning the company will be able to market and sell video gaming terminals in the Illinois market to licensed operators.
With this licence and an exclusive distributor agreement, Betson will be representing WMS Gaming, the only in-state video gaming terminal manufacturer and employer with over 1,300 employees.
President of H Betti Industries, parent company of Betson, Bob Geschine, said: "Betson is very proud to be one of the companies that have been granted a video gaming terminal distributor licence. We have waited a long time for this decision and now we will be able to offer the latest gaming products from WMS Gaming. We look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead and the ability to satisfy the service and sales needs of the Illinois marketplace."
WMS told InterGame: "We can verify WMS was notified by the Illinois Gaming Board that we received a licence to sell video lottery terminals in Illinois and we are prepared to work with our distributor, Betson Midwest, to meet customers’ future needs quickly and efficiently."
Incredible Technologies, also traditionally an amusement game supplier in the US, was also granted a licence in Illinois recently.
