Bell Fruit Games of the UK is to relocate Mazooma Games from Newark to BFG's Nottingham premises in a restructuring move which could lead to redundancies.

In a statement issued this week, the company said: “The move is in response to a much reduced UK gambling machine industry. The decline in the pub business and implementation of the new Gambling Act has resulted in the anticipated demand for Category C gambling machines reducing dramatically for the coming year.”

John Austin, group managing director, added: “A bottom up assessment of the Category C market size for the coming year, along with a poor outlook in other sectors, necessitates a review of our current operations in order to reposition the business to meet future demands.”

Previously BFG had announced its intention to pull out of January’s ATEI show.
