Newtownabbey has seen a new Airtastic entertainment centre open as the venue once at the Westwood Shopping Centre in the west of the city, closed and moved to its new location.

The multi-level location is in the former ToysRUs building and has 12 lanes of  tenpin bowling, trampolines and adventure golf, plus a range of amusement machines.

Meanwhile, a Scrapyard Golf venue has opened, also in Newtownabbey next to the Sportsbowl in Glemgormley. It has 22 unique holes with some of the most unusual features in the amusement industry.

The props to contain the holes include planes, cars and even an out-of-service ambulance through which players have to shoot their golf balls.
