UK trade body Bacta’s restructuring is now moving into its final phase, with nominations opening for leading positions in its governance.

The long process of reformation of the trade association has been undertaken by former president John Bollom, working closely with CEO John White and a committee.

The process of making BACTA more relevant and responsive in today’s society after 49 years in its present four-division format, has taken nearly two years to accomplish, but the organisation should be operational in its fresh, slimmed-down and more vibrant guise to celebrate its 50th anniversary next year.

This week, vice-president John Bollom sent out a personal appeal to members to nominate officers for its now two divisions, the Amusement Council and the Gaming Council, with a general desire to see more younger members taking an active role in their organisation.

Nominations should go to John White at Bacta HQ.
