Newcastle’s second axe throwing venue has opened in the city centre
Operated by Game of Throwing, the new venue at 15-17 Princess Square has six axe throwing lanes, reports ChronicleLive. It is part of its plans for a large indoor entertainment centre at the site which will contain escape game rooms and virtual reality experiences. The venue will see small groups of people throw an axe 12ft away from a target board. Game of Throwing stress that axes are only ever thrown down empty, enclosed lanes, under expert supervision. The company says the experience has been a hit with corporate team-building events as well as groups of friends. Daniel Hill, the founder of Game of Throwing, said: “This is a fun, safe, indoor experience that many people won’t have tried before, and we can’t wait to throw open the doors in Princess Square.”
