An amusement park and other attractions are being planned near the city of Bengaluru in the state of Karnataka.

Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation is behind the plans, aiming to further the area's potential as a thriving tourist destination.
Of the proposed amusement park, department of tourism director Ramprasath Manohar said: “We have not decided the venue, but we are open to pitches. We want to set up a Disney World kind of theme park somewhere around Bengaluru, or Mysuru.
"These attractions, along with the ropeway near Nandi Hills, will bring in more tourists to the city."
Water sports and hiking attractions are also being touted, according to The Hindu, which also reports that a "tender for setting up sporting infrastructure has received a few bids."
Further details, such as a proposed opening date, have not yet been announced as the project is in its initial stages.
