Aristocrat and GVG have signed a new cross-licensing deal that will bring three Aristocrat game themes to GVG cabinets in the South Dakota lottery market.

“Our relationship with Grand Vision Gaming has been extremely beneficial – for Aristocrat, for GVG and for operators and their players,” said Aristocrat president Atul Bali. “Now we are very excited to be expanding our relationship, bringing three of our most popular titles to South Dakota.”

According to Tim Carson, one of GVG’s four partners, GVG’s growing relationship with Aristocrat leverages the individual strengths of both companies. “In the marketplaces where we have come together, we enjoy a clear competitive advantage we wouldn’t each have on our own.”

Earlier this year, GVG and Aristocrat partnered to bring Aristocrat titles to Montana. That success is the basis for this new agreement and brings the same titles to South Dakota lottery on GVG cabinets, namely Buffalo, 5 Dragons and Miss Kitty. In 1989, the South Dakota Lottery pioneered the first state video lottery in the US. Since its launch, it has continued to be a successful product and has provided more than $1bn in revenue to the state.

There are approximately 8,900 terminals in nearly 1,500 establishments across the state.
