The store in the Broad Street Mall closed in 2018 and the three units that comprised premises have remained empty.

Now Funbox wants to provide a wide range of entertainment facilities in the shop and the council is taking representations on the application.

The company wants to provide both indoor and outdoor refreshments with its entertainment facilities, including the sale of alcohol, seven days a week.

Funbox operates two locations in Scotland and 11 in England. It also has one location in Leipzig, Germany.
