An augmented reality darts product has made its US debut with an installation in a New Jersey venue.

501 Fun AR Darts

501 Fun has installed its flagship AR darts game at The Glenwood in Vernon.

The product is a physical darts game, that comes with steel-tipped darts and automatically calculates a player’s score. It also projects video game-style graphics directly onto the board, allowing a number of different gaming options.

The Glenwood owner, Scott Robertson, said: ““I’m from Stoke-on-Trent, UK, a traditional darts town.

“I played 501 Darts AR at Boom Battle Bar in Liverpool and I was blown away.”

501 Fun’s CEO, Jonny Powell, added: “We’re happy to have a fellow countryman help introduce our 501 Darts Augmented Reality to the States.

“The 501 Fun team is grateful that Americans can throw the next generation of darts together in such a charming venue.”

The company has been testing and refining its product with a number of operators, including Boom Battle Bar, Gravity Active Entertainment, Lane7 and Funlab.
