Awarded to the best new product in the amusement parks and attractions industry, the prize recognised the efforts of two companies to bring the one of the world’s most famous brands to the coin-op marketplace.

“We took a smash hit app and incorporated a brilliantly designed slingshot mechanism that fires the Angry Bird ball at the 55ins touchscreen monitor,” explained ICE vice president of sales Joe Coppola. “This was a huge feat for the R&D teams with ICE and Play Mechanix, and they truly delivered an amazing gameplay experience that stays true to the Angry Birds roots, yet ties in an electro-mechanical design that ICE is known for.”

Officially licensed from Rovio Entertainment, the new Angry Birds Arcade game is now shipping ahead of the release of a new Angry Birds movie.
