Virtuix, developer of the Omni Arena virtual reality attraction, has debuted at Andretti Indoor Karting & Games in Orlando, US.

Andretti adds Omni Arena VR attraction

The company has been installing the attraction nationwide for almost a year and has also added it to Dave & Buster’s, Sky Zone and Face Amusement’s Rockin’ Raceway.

Eddie Hamann, Andretti’s managing member, said: “Omni Arena is a ground-breaking attraction that takes VR to the next level, allowing players to walk and run around inside popular video games. It looks beautiful and some of our guests play again and again thanks to its $100,000 esports prize pool.”

In Omni Arena, up to four players can compete for top spots on leaderboards to win cash from our prize pool, sponsored by Virtuix and HP, which also provides the attraction’s Omen Mindframe headsets.

Operators don’t need to get involved in organising the contests as this is taken care of by Virtuix.

“Omni Arena is achieving a 30 per cent repeat play rate across all our venues,” said Jan Goetgeluk, founder and CEO of Virtuix. “Our goal for Omni Arena was to create an anchor attraction at entertainment venues that guests don’t just try once, but again and again.”
