The AMG Leisure Open Day, race evening and golf tournament, which was held last month in Ripon, UK, provided “a perfect combination of business and pleasure for suppliers and customers,” while raising nearly a thousand pounds for charity.
“We are extremely pleased with the way the event went,” said AMG’s Ian Pawson. “Firstly we were very lucky with the fine weather which meant that visitors to the Open Day enjoyed the sunshine along with their barbecue lunch. We are very grateful to all who attended and particularly to the buyers. We had a great selection of products on show and some good business was done.”
The evening at Ripon races was also very successful, added the company’s Terry Farr. “We wanted to include a more genteel activity this year to complement our popular golf day. Ripon is known as the ‘garden race track of England’ and it was a beautiful evening to enjoy it in all its glory.”
AMG was also in luck with the weather for its golf day. While the clouds threatened, rain did not affect play. Nigel French from Sound Leisure won the overall individual prize.
“Having joined Sound Leisure only recently despite a long career in the industry, the AMG Open Day was a great way to catch up with old friends and customers,” said French. “To win the golf trophy was definitely the icing on the cake. Thanks so much to everyone at AMG for a fantastic couple of days.”
The AMG event also managed to raise funds for Meningitis UK. “This is a very worthwhile charity and I am very grateful to the various sponsors, including Coin-op Community, who made donations,” added AMG’s Alex Auckland.
