SWP specialist Gemini Games has struck a deal to supply UK operator Coinspinner with 1,500 SWP machines, which will include the Super Skill Tower, Skill Fruit Spinner, Pizza the Action and Skill Bar Sevens models.
As a result of this deal, Coinspinner will increase its market share of the unlicensed sector by six per cent and has appointed a team of six new sales staff to develop further opportunities.
Commenting on the deal, head of Gemini Games Jem Symmonds said: "At what is without question a difficult time for our industry, Coinspinner has seen the potential in unlicensed premises."
Keith Arnold, group sales director for Coinspinner, added: "The unlicensed site market is a key target for Coinspinner. After extended testing there is no question that the Gemini products are right for us. The games achieve good levels of income while exceeding targets for reliability."
There are a large number of machines in the UK market branded as a game of skill but Coinspinner, which does not supply gaming or gambling machines, has a strict testing procedure which includes analysis of game play, a test clinic of 12 individuals from outside the industry playing the games along with strict adherence to the BACTA guidelines on SWP products.
"We want to bring some order and responsibility to a sector of the industry which lacks a great deal of both," said Roger Morley, head of compliance at Coinspinner. "Moving forward we have agreed that even if a game is a true game of skill but built into an old gaming machine cabinet, it will not feature on our estate."
Deliveries of the new machines have already begun with all machines network linked to the Coinspinner Coinweb system for remote accounting purposes.
