The UK-based Merlin Entertainments has formally opened the Peppa Pig Park in Gûnzburg, Germany, next to the Legoland Deutschland Resort.

It is the first stand-alone Peppa Pig park in Europe. The partnership with Hasbro has also seen the opening of the Peppa Pig Theme Park in Florida in 2022. Another similar park is set to open in Texas later this year.
Merlin has also named Craig Inglis as its first chief marketing officer. Inglis has a long career in marketing, digital and customer exprience at a variety of brands, including TUI, Virgin, John Lewis, Sage and The Entertainer Group.
Inglis will head up initiatives to increase the company’s global brand presence and drive guest engagement.
Merlin has over 140 attractions in 23 countries, including Legoland Resorts, the London Eye, Madame Tussauds and Sea Life aquariums.
Also from Merlin this week comes news that it has partnered with SignLive, the sign language services company, to enhance accessibility for deaf people at its UK attractions. Guests with hearing difficulties can then access video interpreting services via mobile devices.
Yet more from Merlin: the company said that it will open the UK’s first Lego woodland themed holiday village at Legoland Windsor Resort on Friday of this week. The opening marks the first Merlin carbon-neutral accommodation.
