An £850,000 outdoor play village is to be built, removing a Snail ride and play frame, the latter of which has been donated to a local school. The play village will have new areas, Hobbledown Bay, Pixie Village and Mining Village.

The location is near Ilfracombe and was in the hands of the Haynes Family since 1977 until it was taken over last year.

The plans also include the refurbishment of some of the apartments in the Castle building and upgrading of the Big River ride. It is hoped that the work will be concluded by May.
