Last week Sound Leisure opened its doors for its first training course of 2015.

Training day

This initial course covered site management and was received extremely well by all attendees, it reported. Due to the numbers of people wishing to attend the company has added additional dates to the original schedule.

Three more courses are now planned for April covering the preparation and installation of a digital jukebox and advanced technical support.

Both Sound Leisure and Soundnet were well represented at the course in order to meet with customers and answer any queries.

“This is not just a PR exercise,” said Sound Leisure managing director Chris Black. “A lot of work had gone into setting these courses up and both Sound Leisure and Soundnet’s commitment to these courses was evident in the amount of our personnel that we had involved. We know from previous years just how valuable these courses are for our customers and for ourselves.” The course was led by Alastair Tevendale, the company’s technical sales manager, along with Andrew Webb, Tony Silkstone and Nigel French. James Luck and Toby Hoyte were present from Soundnet. Chris Black welcomed everyone to Leeds at the start of the day and conducted a factory tour following the course.

“There was a real buzz in the training room this morning, it was extremely apparent that everyone who attended the course was keen to learn and also share their experiences of installations on site,” said Black. “We could not have wished for a more positive day and are looking forward to welcoming the next group to Leeds in April."
