Supplying amusement machines to operators has gone beyond the role of the traditional distributor, writes Phil Clegg.

DISTRIBUTORS, the middle men between the operator and the manufacturer, once ruled the industry.

However, the growth of “house accounts,” where a manufacturer sells directly to the operator, missing out the distributor, has seen their numbers reduced in some markets. In others, they remain dominant.
