On the face of it, bowling has remained largely unchanged but has still managed to stay up-to-date with technology.

IN recent years, bowling has found itself being one of many amusements in an FEC rather than the main attraction in its own site.

This has meant that bowling operations are often surrounded by more overtly technologically advanced amusements. Video game-imitating laser tag arenas, as well as beeping and blinking arcades, can make the humble bowling centre look somewhat old fashioned. But that can be all to its advantage - it stands out because it is a rare analogue activity. As we have seen from observing the redemption industry, users are craving real world activities more than what they can experience on the all-too-common screen.
