AWPs

They remain a curious crossroads in the coin-op world. AWPs are where the world of amusement meets the world of gambling, offering players the fun of an amusement machine with the added thrill of a mild gamble.

It stands for amusement with prize, the name given to it by the UK government during the 1968 Gaming Act. It was meant to bridge the gap between the two sectors and has survived in one form or another to this day.
