In the US, construction of the $2.1bn Wynn Boston Harbor can now start following months of delays, the Boston Globe has reported.
Somerville Mayor Joseph Curatone says his office will not ask the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection to reconsider a waterfront construction permit granted to Wynn.
With that decision made, Wynn is considering construction starting immediately, a spokesman said. Curatone had said he wants more environmental protections. The decision could still be challenged in court, but Wynn said it will start construction this week.
