Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) chairman Alejandro H. Tengco and his fellow board members have tendered their courtesy resignations as Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr looks to reorganise state-run sectors such as gaming.

Tengco and his colleagues in leadership positions at the body submitted their resignations before the call from the country’s leader to do so on Wednesday.
Among the others who voluntarily stepped down were PAGCOR president and chief operating officer Wilma Eisma and directors Jose Maria Ortega, Francis Democrito Concordia and Gilbert Cesar Remulla.
“We serve at the pleasure of the president,” Tengco said. “And we will accept whatever the chief executive’s decision will be.”
The Office of the President has yet to confirm whether the current PAGCOR board will be reappointed or replaced.
