The government in Vietnam is considering a two-tier system to allow locals to gamble.
A finance ministry official said the system would establish minimum income requirements for locals that want to gamble at Vietnam casinos on a regular basis.
At least 10 provinces in the country have said they want to host a casino with Vietnam already home to Pinnacle’s partly owned Ho Tram Strip development.
Australian-listed Donaco, headed by Genting patriarch KT Lim’s nephews Joey and Ben Lim, have also opened a casino in Vietnam recently while Crown has also expressed interest in the country.
