Plans to expand Tioga Downs racetrack in New York state, US, into a full-scale casino have been given the go-ahead by local authorities.
The proposals for video gaming were initially rejected but will now head to the state’s Gaming Commission for licensing approval, the Associated Press reports.
Owner Jeff Gural is understood to be keen to eventually have table games in operation within the property.
In addition, a 161-room hotel is being developed on the site.
