The Queensland government in Australia, has deferred the suspension of the licence of The Star Gold Coast until March 31, 2025.
The licence was previously to be suspended for 90 days from December 20, 2024.
In addition, the special manager’s appointment for The Star Gold Coast casino has been extended to 30 June 2025.
It was announced by the Queensland Attorney General and Minister for Justice and Integrity that the suspension was to provide The Star with “the opportunity to address significant outstanding remediation matters, including addressing issues raised in the 2024 inquiry by Mr Adam Bell SC, and the findings and recommendations of the second Bell report.”
