TCS John Huxley exhibited at G2E Asia on the back of installing a raft of products at the recently opened Galaxy resort in Macau.

"We supplied over 90 tables covering various different games, over 30 electronic sic bo machines, several Saturn roulette wheels and 350 baccarat displays with Gaming Floor Live, which was making its debut in Macau," said marketing manager Tracy Cohen. Previously, Gaming Floor Live has only been used with roulette, but it is now being rolled out for other card games.

"It links to the shoe, so the operator can tell how many players there are and the length and speed of the game so they can work out game optimisation or discover if the game has been tampered with," said Cohen.

A new development announced at the show was the signing of an agreement with Ipsotek, a leader in the field of video analytics. The agreement enables Gaming Floor Live to utilise Ipsotek’s Intelligent Video Analytics technology to capture information at gaming tables.

The information can be gathered using wither table-mounted cameras or the casino’s existing CCTV system. The information is then turned into data that can be used to trigger performance related alarms as well as being stored in a central database, where it is used to analyse occupancy rates, turnover, player behaviour and staff productivity.

It is hoped to roll this out over the whole range of card games, but first up is baccarat in Asia. "This is still in development and should be introduced next year," said Cohen.

TCS John Huxley, which has now sold over 400 sic bo units across Asia, also used the show to launch a couple of new baccarat games resulting from an agreement with SASIAN Gaming. BaccaraX and BetterBAC are simple but highly flexible commission-free games that are easy to learn, ensuring instant player acceptance and minimal staff training.
