Signage in the digital age has everything to do with information.

Signs

The only requirement of casino signage in the past was to direct customers around a property but the digital age is all about information, with today’s signs imparting all manner of data.

Everything from simple winning number displays for live games to more sophisticated digital demonstrations telling players the status of a jackpot or when it has been hit, today’s technology is about much more than just telling guests where the rest rooms are.

Signs4U used the recent ICE Totally Gaming show in London to premiere its new Jackpot Visualizer media player software, which is able to broadcast a wide range of content to a gaming floor.

Everything from homemade photos and videos to live television and RSS feeds of a roulette table can be broadcast to a gaming audience using Jackpot Visualizer while operators can also display their jackpot amounts and wins.

Users can even pre-programme the software with photos or videos in order to publicise special events or offers while a recently developed iPad and iPhone app allows operators to update media players from any location around the world. “When a jackpot is hit, Jackpot Visualizer can interrupt everything to show the winning amount and machine,” said Martin Spies from Netherlands-based Signs4U. “Recently, we also added smart price lists to the software so users can create their own price lists for their location.”

Signs4U recently supplied signage products to Janshen-Hahnrath Group for use at Fair Play-branded venues in addition to JVH Gaming and its new Dutch locations in Doetinchem and Heerhugowaard. However, the firm stated that it caters to “both ends of the market” as it also works with single-site operators such as Casino Be-One in Rotterdam, Alkmaar’s The Strip Casino and Number One Casino in Apeldoorn.
