The Alea Casino in Glasgow, UK, has extended its poker sessions to accommodate a growing number of poker fanatics.

Poker has become a huge hit in the venue since it opened earlier this year. As a result, Alea’s cash games will now be on offer from 2pm until 4am Mondays and Thursdays in the venue’s newly established poker pits. And every last Sunday of the month the casino will stage £200 Freeze Out matches.

Johanna Johnston, Alea’s gaming manager, said: "Poker is growing in popularity as a player and spectator sport. Due to demand we have extended our poker hours and poker players will now have the chance to play more serious games."

Alea is Scotland’s largest luxury casino and is operated by London Clubs International. As well as a private poker room, the casino has 20 gaming tables, including punto banco, blackjack, roulette and poker, as well as state-of-the-art slot machines and electronic roulette machines.
