Sands China, Las Vegas Sands' business unit in Asia, has terminated its hotel management agreement with Shangri-La International Hotel Management for its latest Cotai Strip development in Macau.
Sands said the termination was mutually agreed upon between the companies and resolved in an “amicable manner”.
It has undertaken a review of its options regarding a replacement hotel manager for its hotel development on the site known as Parcel Five, the first phase of which is due to be opened by the end of the year.
The operator revealed that it is already in discussions with another international hotel brand, which, according to the Wall Street Journal, is likely to be InterContinental Hotels Group.
