The Casinos Austria and Austrian Lotteries group of companies has reported record revenues for 2011.

Preliminary figures indicate that the group generated annual revenue of €3.4bn. This represents an increase of 6.7 per cent compared to 2010, which was largely prompted by success in its home market of Austria and specifically through increased revenue from Austrian Lotteries (plus 9.7 per cent to €2.9bn) and the 12 Austrian casinos (plus 4.3 per cent to €270m). Online subsidiary win2day reported a significant increase of five per cent to €1.12bn, excluding poker. Casinos Austria International also reported an increase in revenue of 6.4 per cent to €231.2m.

For the first time at this year’s ICE Totally Gaming show in London the group showcased all of its business units on one stand. This was in line with plans for broad-ranging internationalisation of the group that were put in place by the management team, led by director general Dr Karl Stoss.
