The Suzo-Happ Group is among the leading suppliers of components and spares to the gaming and amusement industries.
Back in 2005, two of the industry’s biggest names – Suzo International of the Netherlands and Happ Controls of the US – merged to form a ‘one-stop shop’ supplier. Today, the group offers over 40,000 components, liaising with both manufacturers and end users through its extensive sales team.
Suzo-Happ has a two-pronged strategy for providing best-in-class products and solutions, either partnering with a range of manufacturers to distribute their products or developing and manufacturing its own range of components. So, in addition to working with the likes of MEI, FutureLogic, ELO Touchsystems, ASSA Desmo and Talaris, the company’s own R&D departments in the Netherlands and North America continue to expand their capacities to meet demand for its in-house solutions.
This growing number of products developed and manufactured by the Suzo-Happ Group requires a strong manufacturing base and to achieve this, the company opened a production facility in Zihou, China, known as Chinatec. The 15,000sq.m state-of-the-art building was opened in 2001 and is strategically located close to Hong Kong and Macau.
“We have amassed a great amount of knowledge on manufacturing components in China,” said Marcel Oelen, managing director for EMEA at Suzo-Happ. “We can offer full turnkey solutions to OEMs. We have an excellent manufacturing base in China, which means we can open the door to OEMs to outsource to China. We can manage the entire process and then even distribute the goods according to requirements.
“We offer all the benefits of manufacturing in China by just dealing with us at the Suzo-Happ Group directly. Thus, we simplify the process and take all the headaches away.”
