Paragon Gaming has revived its plans to build a casino resort in Vancouver, Canada, with a $535m proposal. The move comes two years after the city first rejected Paragon’s casino plans.

Under a partnership with 360 Vox and Dundee Corporation, Paragon hopes to relocate its Edgewater Casino to a development adjacent to the BC Place stadium. It will include two luxury hotels, a conference centre, restaurants and retail space.
Vancouver city council had rejected 2011 proposals from Paragon for the development of a 1,500-slot mega casino. Paragon has said the relocation of Edgewater, which will have 600 slots and 75 table games, is consistent with zoning approval from the city council issued in autumn 2011.
The group, which is in advanced negotiations with Marriott to manage the two hotels, hopes to open the new resort by the end of 2016.
