The government of the Indian state of Goa agreed to renew the licence of the sixth offshore casino on the Mandovi River on the directions of the Bombay High Court.

The high court advised the state government on Wednesday to consider “the application filed by [Golden Globe Hotels] pleading to renew licence of its offshore casino in Mandovi River”.
State under secretary Neetal Amonkar issued an order granting the licence, provided the necessary documents were filed within 24 hours.
The order states: "In case the applicant (company) is unable to produce any of the required documents, they should seek specific extension of time along with reason."
Goa has five offshore casino vessels that are anchored in the river in the state’s capital city, Panaji. It is one of the three Indian states where casinos are allowed to operate legally.
