Novomatic has sold off one of its lottery solutions companies - Next Generation Lotteries has bought Novomatic Lottery Solutions, the acquisition closing on October 31.

NLS

The purchase encompassed all of the company, including intellectual property, subsidiaries and all existing NLS contracts. Hans Vigmostad, CEO at NGL, said that his company had a vision to leverage existing systems and commodity components to deliver cost-efficient solutions fort lottery licence holders and the acquisition of NLS was a “giant leap” towards realising this vision.

“We have acquired what is said to be the most modern lottery system in the world and the services of the talent that created it. It is more than a company - it is the intellectual property developed with great ingenuity by passionate professionals over 20-plus years.”

He added: “I am convinced that this acquisition, with the new vigour we intend to bring to the company, will accelerate our growth, revitalise the development of NLS’ product portfolio, grow existing business and allow us to win new business.”

NGL will keep the existing NLS locations in Austria, Serbia, Iceland, Tunisia and Spain to add to its own in Norway and Germany.
