Following a transfer of shares by TCS John Huxley owner and chairman Bertil Knutsson to his sons, Tristan Sjöberg will take up the role of executive chairman with immediate effect, it has been reported.
Michael Knutsson will continue his role as director. This underlines the company’s policy of family ownership with active shareholder involvement.
Bertil Knutsson commented: “It is with great pride that I am able to offer both Michael and Tristan more significant roles within TCS John Huxley. I am pleased to be able to step back from my active duty in the knowledge that our company is in good hands, keeping the business very much within the family.”
Sjöberg has handed over the day to day running of the Asian operations to Rebecca Kingswell, general manager Asia. He will continue to be based in Singapore.
Tristan Sjöberg said: “I am extremely proud to be taking on a more important role within the group as I understand how important TCS John Huxley is to my father. The foundations and heritage that he initiated many years ago are at the heart of what we do. Michael and I are committed to continue to grow the business, taking it into a new era under the leadership of our new group CEO, Cath Burns.”
