A new casino set to open in Ciudad Juarez in Mexico plans to attract gamblers from the US side of the border by offering poker and other table games.
“We expect a lot of tourists,” said Yajaira Yesenia Valtierra, the casino manger. The casino is about a 15-minute drive south of the border. “Because we are just across from the US, we expect to have a lot of people from that country,” said Valtierra.
There are now half a dozen casinos in the Mexican border city and most offer slot machines and sports book betting that are popular with Americans, especially during the football season.
