The Division of Gaming Enforcement of New Jersey, US, has released financial figures for the three-month period ending September 30, 2024.

Net revenue from the state’s land-based casino licensees totalled $943.2m, a 2.9 per cent decrease year-on-year. Of the nine licensees, only one, Borgata, reported a net revenue greater than in Q3 2023, and only two, Caesars and Hard Rock, reported a gross operating profit greater than in Q3.

Total gross operating profit for the state was $242.9m, a 13.6 per cent decrease year-on-year.

For the first nine months of 2024, Net Revenue reached $2.54 billion, decreasing 0.2 per cent from the comparable nine-month period last year. For the first nine months of 2024, casino licensees reported gross operating profit of $576.6m, an 8.8 per cent decrease compared to the same period last year.
