The Financial Analysis Unit (UAF) and the Casino Superintendency (SCJ) are submitting a joint circular proposal for consultation relating to the casinos in Chile.

The proposal updates the regulations surrounding money laundering, the financing of terrorism and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
It includes various obligations for casinos, such as registration with the Financial Analysis Unit, designating a compliance officer, reporting suspicious transactions and cash transactions, creating and maintaining records for a minimum period of five years, due diligence and knowledge of customers and training staff.
This circular will be open for public comment until Wednesday, July 9.
