The chair of FTSE housebuilder Persimmon and director of the Sutton Trust Roger Devlin has been appointed the new chair of the UK’s Horserace Betting Levy Board.
The appointment begins on July 1 and is valid until June 30, 2029.
Devlin has previously served as chair of William Hill until its sale to Caesars in 2022, chair of online gaming company Gamesys, and chair of media rights business SiS.
This appointment has been made in accordance with the Cabinet Office’s Governance Code on Public Appointments which is regulated by the Commissioner for Public Appointments.
