Richard Bateson has been appointed the new chief executive officer of Intralot, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Intralot Group in the United States.
Bateson has also been elected as a member of the company’s board of directors. He will report to Nikolaos Nikolakopoulos, group CEO, who will remain as executive chairman of the board of directors of Intralot.
He has served as chief commercial officer of Intralot since 2023 and has extensive experience in board and C-Suite roles in B2C and B2B sectors of the lottery industry in the UK, Europe and North America. He is a graduate of Cardiff University.
Intralot S.A. has also announced that Georgios Xanthos will assume the duties of group tax and accounting director, as of January 1, 2025, replacing Vassileios Vasdaris who will retire. Xanthos has been serving as Intralot’s consolidation accounting director since 2021 and has previously worked as a chartered accountant in a major audit firm in Greece.
