Billionaire Vincent Tan is proposing a $933m casino in the state of Pahang. Tan is the biggest shareholder in Berjaya Corp, which has gaming interests.
Like Genting, Berjaya is a conglomerate with a wide variety of business interests, including gambling. At present, Malaysia’s only casino is Genting Highland.
