Hong Kong-based Beacon Events and the UK's Clarion Gaming have released details of a new conference, the Asian Gambling Briefing, which has been designed to provide regulation and compliance information on the Far East's rapidly growing gambling market.

Material circulating at this week’s European Gambling Briefing, which opened yesterday (Tuesday) in Amsterdam, Netherlands, said the AGB will "examine current legislation and future directions for gaming regulation, highlight key compliance areas and clarify where the opportunities lie in Asia."
The two-day conference - dubbed an "Asian counterpart" to the increasingly popular EGB - will take place in Singapore on October 21-22.
Clarion’s partnership with Beacon comes at an important time in the evolution of Asia’s gambling industry, especially after Macau’s rapidly developing casino market led the region to overtake Las Vegas in terms of gaming revenue in 2006.
Observers, meanwhile, continue to highlight the growing potential of land-based gaming markets in several other Asian countries, including Taiwan, Vietnam and, even, Cambodia.
While no further information is currently available on AGB, InterGaming can confirm the domain AsianGamblingBriefing.com has been bought and registered. A message from the hosting company says the site is currently under construction.
