In the US, Multimedia Games has been granted a manufacturer/distributor licence by the Mississippi Gaming Commission.
The commission’s decision is the first stage in the process to allow the company to sell slot machines or place them on a revenue share basis in the state’s commercial casinos.
Anthony Sanfilippo, president and chief executive officer of Multimedia Games, said: “Securing this licence represents a significant milestone in our efforts to expand the market presence of Multimedia Games. Over the last 18 months we have implemented key changes to the organisation, including a centralised approach to new licensing efforts.”
