James Packer has held a fresh round of talks with partners regarding the proposed privatisation of Crown Resorts.

Crown Resorts

Packer, who holds a 53 per cent stake in Crown, has held several meetings in recent weeks, with US property giant Blackstone Real Estate remaining part of discussions.

The Sydney Morning Herald reported that, although a deal was not imminent, Packer continued to field strong interest from those interested in the privatisation of Crown.

“There are several structures already on the table but there is also an element to these talks of fleshing out where the strongest interest lies in the market for Crown's assets,” the paper said.

“The potential spin-out of the property assets is an obvious fit for a firm like Blackstone.”
