According to the Fantini Report, Mexico may finally legalise and regulate its gaming industry.

Miguel Angel Ochoa Sanchez, President of the Mexico Gaming Association, believes that the country’s Senate will enact the House of Representatives’ already-approved bill to regulate the industry. This would come in the session beginning next month and running through to the end of October.
The country has 312 gambling centres currently which could grow to 500 by the end of 2018 as a result of the law. Onling gaming would also be regulated.
Technically, gambling is illegal in Mexico, but has prospered in gaming halls using a succession of different interpretations of the law and utilizing loopholes. Governments have responded with the occasional crackdown on the industry and by a collection of half-successful and often misinterpreted laws.
