Business was being done at the ICE Totally Gaming show this year, according to Ognjen Vlaskalin of Serbian gaming company Max Bet.

The Max Bet group of companies is a major player in the Serbian market, manufacturing gaming equipment and operating a variety of gambling venues throughout the country. It has been producing slots and roulettes for more than 10 years and began producing its own electronic gaming tables three years ago.

Having debuted at the show last year, the company is keen to use its experience of its domestic gaming market as a springboard for greater international success.

"Last year was great," said Vlaskalin. "We sold quite a few tables to customers and now we’re looking to establish ourselves outside of Serbia."
Max Bet’s western saloon-styled stand matched the themes of its tables on display, including a six-player Texas Hold ‘Em game, which also offers blackjack. A 10-player version was also on show.

Game themes are interchangeable and there are around 20 variations, including the western and 1930s Chicago themes that were on show. According to Vlaskalin, the tables are built to customers’ wishes and the themes can include logos and casino branding.

"The markets we’re most interested in right now are Latin America and Europe, where we’re trying to establish ourselves," he said. "In Europe each country has its own regulations so we must adjust our table systems to meet these laws. But we are open to that - we are a young company and we can make those changes."

Vlaskalin is optimistic that the show will once again prove to be a success for the company and represents the next stage in its evolution.

"Last year was just an introduction to our company," he said. "This year the people who visit us will see that we are a serious company, we’re here to stay and that we improve our products from one year to the next.
"I think good business will be done here this year."
